Drunken Mother Flees Car Crash

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, mother Heath Ayers fled the scene of the crash the night of April 1,2008. While fleeing the scene she also abandoned her severely injured daughter behind in the car. Her injured daughter (age six) was transported for treatment to the Orlando Regional Medical Center shortly thereafter.

Apparently, Ayers was driving under the influence of alcohol at high speeds and crashed into two separate cars. She was apprehended shortly after fleeing the scene and has been charged with several counts of DUI, driving with a suspended license and fleeing the scene of the crash.

The two back passengers of one of the cars hit were both in critical condition after being ejected from the car, while the other two passengers suffered serious injuries. All those injured were transported to nearby Medical Centers.
