I-4 Tragedy
Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Charles Bronson today expressed deep sadness for the loss of life as a result of the multi-car pile up on I-4. “First, I want to tell the people injured and the families of the people who lost their lives in this terrible crash that my heart goes out to them,” Bronson said. “This is an awful tragedy and it’s important that they know they are in our prayers. We have a duty to determine exactly how this accident happened and we are working diligently to do so.”
A number of investigations by several agencies are underway to determine the cause of the accident. Bronson says it would be irresponsible to comment on the situation before all the facts are in and the investigations are complete. “Investigators are taking a very deliberative, scientific look at the situation to determine what, if any role the smoke played in the incident,” Bronson said.
“We will provide the facts to the public when they are made known to us. I am limiting my comments while the investigations are underway but will be examining and reviewing all the facts once they are provided to us.” Bronson urged the public to be patient while the experts are gathering facts and investigating the tragedy saying it will take a little time for the various agencies to complete their work.
